Online seminars are a free educational tool for sharing knowledge with both EESTECers and non-EESTECers from all over Europe, while avoiding geographical or time boundaries raised by attending trainings in person. Online Seminars aims to provide EESTech Challenge Participants with the theoretical and technical knowledge they will need for the local and final EESTech Challenge Competition.

This year the chosen topic is “a field of study that gives computers the ability to learn without being explicitly programmed”- Machine Learning. We aim to provide lectures on Supervised Machine Learning.

We started this journey with the announcement of the 1st Online Seminar which aired on  Wednesday 21st of December, at 20:00 CET.

The lecturer of the course was Grigoris Chrysos, EESTEC Alumni – former International Chairman & Training Team Coordinator, from Athens, now a Ph.D. student at iBug group (Imperial College London).

Based on all the gathered numbers, we can say that the first Online Seminar was a complete success. We managed to exceed our goal of 160 registered users by a whooping 64% ( 103 users ) and also reach to the non-EESTEC audience ( 120 users ) !

We are currently working on bringing you the 2nd Online Seminar which will air on 18th of February at 18:00 CET and will be presented by our lecturer, Daniel Törtei, from Hungary, currently working as a Development Engineer at SAS Twiga in Toulouse, France .

Online learning is not the next big thing, it is the big thing of the present. Tech your future!
